Meyers Coctail Drip
The Meyers Cocktail, an original mixture of orthomolecular infusion therapies, was developed in the 1950s by Dr. John Myers, an American physician. This therapy involves the administration of high-dose vitamins (such as vitamin C and B vitamins) and minerals (such as calcium and magnesium) to treat exhaustion, chronic fatigue, reduced performance, during convalescence after illness, or simply to increase well-being and performance. A traditional Meyers Cocktail contains high-dose vitamin C, B vitamins (thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, panthenol, pyridoxine, biotin, folic acid, cobalamin), magnesium, and calcium in a carrier infusion solution. Over time, other proven formulations and infusion mixtures based on the Myers Cocktail have been developed for various indications, also containing amino acids and antioxidants. For a sustained effect, 10-12 infusions at weekly intervals are usually recommended. The infusion takes about one and a half hours in total, with the folic acid being added separately for compatibility reasons.
